This volume recovers, following the magical milestones of literary memory, a time in Spain, that of the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th, and many times that have passed. It also rescues, and perhaps saves from oblivion, situations, scenes, encounters, people and landscapes that formed part of that Spain and retains events that have become literature, a literature of a time of crisis. This book concentrates, in expressive syntheses, moments created by distinguished and unforgettable writers that are sublimated by their amenity, by their speed in the denouement, by their immediacy revived encounter by encounter, scene by scene, memory by memory, one after the other, as in a chain, linked by bonds of life and authenticity, of real and lived existence, without masks, without stills, direct to the reader, to make him feel the same emotion with which all the texts evoked here were composed, to the point of creating an intentionally harmonious whole that is pleasant to read.
